What a weekend! Cam and I left on Friday night with Dean and Joy and headed to St. George. We stopped and grubbed at Sonic (which was a first for us - it was OK). It rained pretty hard all the way down to Cedar City. We got off the exit in Cedar to get ice cream (to get us through the last leg of the trip!) and a highway patrolman pulled us over immediately. He asked us if we knew how to use our blinkers, telling us he had been trying to catch up to us since we left the bowling alley. Fortunately we had not been at the bowling alley and he apologized and left us in peace, without a ticket. We got down to St. George late that night and got up early on Saturday to go to Clinton Anderson's clinic in Hurricane. It was amazing - he is amazing! We left the clinic at the lunch break and headed to Mesquite so Joy and I could feed our Black Jack craving! We played at the funnest table - with great dealers and people - for about 2 1/2 hours. Joy and I both left with more than we started with, so it was worth the trip! Later that night we watched the Utah Jazz win their game against the Rockets, putting them through to the next round of the playoffs. It was pretty exciting! Sunday morning came and Dean and Cam headed off for the clinic; Joy and I headed to get pedicures! We headed home that afternoon, well fed, well educated in horsemanship and 2 of the 4 of us had great looking feet!
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, my parents had the girls. They took off for Farmington on Friday night to spend the night at the Lagoon campground. Kyrie's dance team was scheduled to dance at 8:00 in the morning. They got up early and hurried over. They video taped the dance and Kyrie did awesome. They ended up winning 1st place out of 15 teams! Great job, Kyrie!!!
Now, we're back to reality for a few days before we leave for San Diego on Saturday morning. We are almost completely packed and ready to run out the door for our family cruise up the Pacific Coast. We can't wait!
We just got news today that Cameron's mom and Gary have a prospective house in mind and hope to close on the transaction next week. From the pics, it looks so beautiful and we are hoping that everything falls into place for them. They have been looking for a while and really want to get settled in their own place.
And these are the days of our lives . . .

May 3, 2007

Happy Birthday to my dear mother! We are all getting ready for an eventful weekend. Cam and I are headed to St. George with Dean and Joy to go to a Clinton Anderson horse seminar. Dean and Cameron are excited to learn and Joy and I are excited to have some time to ourselves. We are leaving the kids at home and hope to enjoy a nice pedicure and some leisurely shopping! My kind parents are keeping Kyrie and Chezlie for us. Kyrie has a dance competition that I am so sorry to miss. They perform at Lagoon early on Saturday, so they'll spend the night at the Lagoon campground on Friday night. Good luck, Kyrie! We are also getting ready to go on our Pacific Northwest Cruise, which departs from San Diego on May 12th. Cannot wait!!!
